The Combination Programme is based on working according to a modularly structured curricula. This means that the education is divided into modules, at four levels. You start at a level that suits you and work your way up, step by step. The modules help you learn well and understand in depth, so you are better prepared for further education, training and work.
You will work a lot with language in all subjects, and learning the Norwegian language is a big part of the teaching. You will learn new words and concepts, and work on writing sentences and texts that belong to the topic of the subjects. Oral work is also an important part of the programme, and you practice speaking Norwegian a lot in class. The goal is for you to be able to complete and pass upper secondary education, so that you can continue on to education or work.
Rules for attendance and absence
There are rules for attendance and absence. You must actively participate in the classes and work during class hours. You must attend school every day unless otherwise agreed with the teacher. If you are absent, you must notify your teacher of your absence.
Your place on the Combination Programme is considered accepted when you arrive at school the first week after school starts. If you do not attend and do not notify us of your absence, you will lose your place.
The school will record absences in hours and days. Too many absences may mean that you will not receive a grade in the modules in the curriculum. The school will notify you if you are at risk of this.
